Sean Marshall, owner of Dynamic Solutions Construction LLC, started carpentry at a very young age by watching and working with his father as he performed finish carpentry at the house the family grew up in. When Sean turned 13, he completed his first construction project: a 10’ x 10’ tree fort nestled in the back woods of the family property. Even at an early age, Sean knew what he wanted to do when he grew up. He later would attend Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
Upon graduation, Sean immediately started working in the Construction Management Department for an architectural/engineering firm in Portland, Maine. Sean was involved in commercial construction projects learning the ropes as an assistant superintendent and then later moving into the role of a Project Manager. Those projects ranged from $100,000 office renovations to $15 million large-scale build-outs such as a new Caterpillar facility in New York where Sean was moved to for the duration of the eighteen-month project.
In-between construction projects, Sean would fill the role of Assistant Project Estimator for the company under the guidance of a very talented and experienced Senior Estimator. After 6 years of working for the architectural/engineering firm, Sean moved on to a Construction Management Firm in Scarborough, Maine to fill yet another role of Project Manager. There, Sean would gain another year of construction experience while completing several rehab and new facility projects for Irving Blue Canoe Stations. It was at this time that Sean began Dynamic Solutions while working on projects during off hour, nights and weekends.
Within several months of starting Dynamic Solutions, Sean was able to break away from his current employment and work solely on the company. In the beginning while working out of the back of his own pickup truck, Sean would focus on small projects, gaining both experience and a solid customer base. Now after several years of running the business and with the help of both his father, Geoffrey Marshall and his brother Christopher Marshall, Dynamic Solutions Construction has flourished into a company with experience in major home renovations and additions. DSC’s most recent accomplishment was the completion of a 5000 square foot custom home soon to be followed by another new custom home slated for early Spring, 2009.
